Don Mueang International Airport, formerly named Don Mueang Airfield, is located at 222 Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, Sanambin Sub-district, Don Mueang District, Bangkok 10210. In 1955 the airport was named Bangkok International Airport and then changed to Don Mueang International Airport again on 13 March 2007 when the Airports of Thailand (AOT) decided to officially opened Suvarnabhumi Airport for service on 28 September 2006 with IATA code as BKK while Don Mueang International Airport used DMK as an IATA code,
At present, DMK serves General Aviation, State Aircraft, Military Aircraft Government Aircraft, Pure Technical Landing and Pure Charter Flight. Since 25 March 2007 DMK has also accommodated point to point domestic scheduled flights. With suitable and spacious location as well as international standard of facilities and services, DMK can serve 60 flights/hr., 11.5 million domestic passengers/year and 12,490 tons of domestic cargo/year.
