AOT Signs Sister Airport Agreement with SEA Milan Airports (SEA) Strengthening International Cooperation for Sustainable Airport Development






On 16 October 2025, Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) entered into a Sister Airport Agreement (SAA) with SEA Milan Airports (SEA), the operator of Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) in Milan, Republic of Italy.
The agreement was formally signed by Ms. Paweena Jariyathitipong, Acting President of AOT, and Mr. Armando Brunini, Chief Executive Officer & General Manager of SEA, at the Malpensa Center, Terminal 1, Milan Malpensa Airport. The signing ceremony was honored by the presence of AOT’s Board of Directors and senior executives from both organizations, who attended as distinguished witnesses to this significant milestone in international airport cooperation.
The signing of the Sister Airport Agreement signifies a mutual commitment between AOT and SEA to foster collaboration and the exchange of best practices in key areas of airport management. These include environmental stewardship and sustainability, particularly in advancing efforts toward decarbonization, renewable and clean energy utilization, and the development of green airports—in alignment with AOT’s long-term vision of sustainable and responsible growth.
In addition, the partnership aims to promote innovation and digital transformation in airport operations and passenger services, enhancing travel experiences while supporting both sustainability and economic resilience in the global aviation sector.
At present, AOT has entered into Sister Airport Agreements with 16 international airport operators, encompassing 20 international airports across 11 countries. This growing network reflects AOT’s steadfast commitment to strengthening global connectivity, promoting cooperation, and driving sustainable development within the international aviation community.
