AOT Congratulates Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport for Its 100th Anniversary of Operations

On 29th June 2021, Dr. Nitinai Sirismatthakarn, President of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) expressed his sincere congratulations, via the video clip, to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport for its centennial anniversary. In this event, top executives from Airports Council International and leading airports such as Munich International Airport,
Incheon International Airport and Vancouver International Airport were also expressing their best wishes via the video clip to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the airport. The aforesaid congratulations would help to tighten the relationship between AOT and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.

AOT and Shanghai Airport Authority (SAA) signed an MOU, or called as “the Sister Airport Agreement” on 26th February 2016. SAA operates two airports, namely Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao International Airport, which accommodate passenger numbers over
100 million per year and 4 million tons of freight numbers per year. Furthermore, AOT’s collaboration with SAA will include information exchange in knowledge and best practices
in aviation and airport management and operations. This special occasion reflects a perfectly amicable relationship between the two organizations under the Sister Airport Agreement.
